Beijing Tianjin Intercity High speed Railway (China's first high-speed railway): The Beijing Tianjin Intercity High speed Railway project started construction on July 4, 2005 and was put into operation on August 1, 2008. It has a total length of 120 kilometers.
Changjiu Intercity Railway (China's second intercity railway, belonging to the fast railway): Jiangxi Province's intercity railway, officially started construction on June 28, 2007. As an intercity railway following the construction of the Beijing Tianjin intercity railway, the starting point is located at Lushan Station in Jiujiang. After leaving Lushan Station, it runs along the east side of the Beijing Kowloon Railway and ends at Nanchang North Station, connecting with the existing Beijing Kowloon Railway and leading into Nanchang Station. The completion of the Changjiu intercity railway has shortened the travel time from Nanchang to Jiujiang to 40 minutes. The total length of the line is 131.27 kilometers.
Shanghai Nanjing Intercity High speed Railway: A high-speed railway connecting Nanjing, Jiangsu and Shanghai, built in July 2008 and officially opened for operation on July 1, 2010. It passes through Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Zhenjiang and other places, with a total length of 300 kilometers.






Zhengzhou-Xi'an High speed Railway: Zhengzhou-Xi'an High speed Railway is a section of the Xulan Passenger Dedicated Line (Xuzhou Zhengzhou Xi'an Baoji Lanzhou) that has started construction among the 10 passenger dedicated lines in China's medium and long-term railway planning. On June 28, 2009, the Zhengxi Passenger Dedicated Line was fully operational. The Zhengzhou Xi'an Railway Passenger Dedicated Line has a total length of 484.518 kilometers (including 456.639 kilometers of main line), with bridges and tunnels accounting for 59.75% of the total length.
Wenfu Railway (belonging to the fast railway): The Wenfu Railway runs from Wenzhou City in Zhejiang Province to Fuzhou City in Fujian Province, with a total length of 320.97 kilometers. Construction began in 2005 and it was opened on September 28, 2009. The designed speed of the Wenfu Railway is 250 kilometers per hour.
Beijing Shanghai High speed Railway: The Beijing Shanghai High speed Railway started construction on April 18, 2008, starting from Beijing South Station and ending at Shanghai Hongqiao Station, with a total length of 1318 kilometers. A total of 23 passenger stations have been set up and put into operation on June 30, 2011. The Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway, running from Beijing South Station to Shanghai Hongqiao Station, is the longest and most standardized high-speed railway in the world.
Shanghai Hangzhou High speed Railway: The Shanghai Hangzhou High speed Railway connects the two major cities of Shanghai and Hangzhou, with an operating mileage of 202 kilometers. The Shanghai Hangzhou high-speed railway passes through Minhang, Songjiang, Jinshan District in Shanghai, Jiaxing, and Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province. The entire line has 9 stations and 7 new stations, namely Songjiang South, Jinshan North, Jiashan South, Jiaxing South, Tongxiang, Haining West, and Yuhang. This project is jointly invested and constructed by the Ministry of Railways, Shanghai Municipality, Zhejiang Province, and Baosteel Group Co., Ltd.
Wuhan Guangzhou High speed Railway: The Wuhan Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line is the southern section of the Beijing Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line, located in Hubei, Hunan, and Guangdong provinces. Construction began in Changsha on June 23, 2005. The total length is about 1068.8 kilometers, with a total investment of 116.6 billion yuan.
Other railways under construction include: Beijing Shijiazhuang High speed Railway, Shiwu High speed Railway, Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong High speed Railway, Harbin Dalian High speed Railway, Hanyi High speed Railway, and so on.
