This has a certain impact on construction projects, and the demand for steel is difficult to significantly increase. From the supply side, currently, the steel industry is accelerating the work of reducing production and striving to achieve the goal of "negative year-on-year growth in crude steel production for the whole year". In September of this year, the daily production level of crude steel in the country dropped to the value in nearly three years, and the effect of the pressure reduction policy became apparent. Steel traders expect that crude steel production will continue to decrease after entering November. According to industry insiders' calculations, if calculated based on the annual target of reducing 20 million tons, the steel industry will also reduce crude steel production by 35.8 million tons from October to December. Recently, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment stated that it will do a good job in the "look back" work of reducing steel production capacity, focus on the staggered production of heating season in the steel industry, and guide relevant cities to formulate staggered production plans for steel, coordinate planning and careful deployment, inspect the reduction of steel production and staggered production one by one, and supervise their implementation. Subsequently, some regions in China issued notices to further arrange staggered production work for steel enterprises. With the implementation of these measures, the supply of construction steel market will decrease in November and within the year. At present, the social inventory of construction steel continues to decline. According to statistics, as of November 5th, the total inventory of rebar in Shanghai was 226800 tons, a decrease of 8900 tons or 3.78% from the previous week. This is the 10th consecutive week of decline in rebar inventory in Shanghai. Similarly, the total social inventory of construction steel in the country is also decreasing. As of the end of October, the total inventory of rebar in 35 major markets across the country was 5.6181 million tons, a decrease of 310700 tons or 5.24% from the previous week; The total inventory of wire and coil snails was 1.3799 million tons, a decrease of 15200 tons or 1.09% from the previous week. Steel traders predict that the weakening of supply intensity in the construction steel market in November is inevitable.
