　　(1) In order to facilitate the monitoring of observation points, centralized observation, unified observation frequency, and comprehensive analysis of data from various observation projects, observation points in different parts must be located on the same cross-section.

　　(2) The observation points of the roadbed section include settlement observation piles, settlement plates, single point settlement meters, and displacement observation edge piles. Three settlement observation piles are set up for each section of both embankment and road cut sections, arranged at the center of the double track roadbed and 3.2m outside the center of the left and right lines. For sections where the transverse slope of the embankment base is gentler than 1:5, a settlement plate should be installed at the center of the double track roadbed; But when the ground cross slope is greater than 1:5, a settlement plate should be added 3.1m outside the centerline of the left (or right) line on the higher side of the filling. 　　A single point settlement meter shall be installed at the center of the double track roadbed for embankment sections with a transverse slope of less than 1:5 or road cut sections with foundation reinforcement, red clay, and expansive soil; But for embankment sections with a ground cross slope greater than 1:5, in addition to placing one at the center of the double track roadbed, a single point settlement meter should also be added at a distance of 3.1m from the left (or right) line on the higher side of the fill. For embankment sections, displacement observation stakes are set up at 2 meters outside the slope angles on both sides of the section, and are located on the same section as settlement observation stakes and settlement plates.

　　(3) In the preloading section of the roadbed settlement plate, during the preloading period, as the surface layer of the roadbed has not yet been constructed, settlement elements should be arranged at the bottom of the preloaded soil (the top surface of the bottom layer of the roadbed) for settlement observation of the roadbed top surface, that is, settlement plates should be temporarily arranged at the top surface of the bottom layer of the roadbed. The displacement observation and base settlement observation arrangements are exactly the same as those of the unpressed section. When the preloaded soil is removed, the temporary settlement plate is removed accordingly.
