Overview of the production of oily sludge: oily sludge generated during oil extraction, pipeline transportation, oil and gas joint stations, refineries, oily wastewater treatment processes, etc.
Oil sludge treatment is a complete production process that utilizes the principles of oxidative demulsification and centrifugal separation. The main equipment consists of a dosing system, feeding system, separation system, conveying system, control system, etc.
After collecting oily sludge, suitable demulsifiers, activators, etc. are added through steam heating to achieve demulsification of emulsified oil-water. The demulsified oily (waste) water is subjected to three-phase continuous separation of oil, water, and slag using an efficient WLS series three-phase centrifuge. The water separated by the centrifuge and the undiluted oil-water mixture are directly sent to the sewage treatment system for treatment.

1. Approximately 80-95% of the oil can be recovered (depending on oil density, demulsification effect, temperature, etc.), and the recovered oil can be further purified using a disc centrifuge for refining;
2. After centrifugal separation, the water content in the oil phase can reach ≤ 3-5%;
3. After centrifugal separation, the dryness of the slag phase can reach 40-60%, and the total volume can be reduced by more than 80% compared to before separation;

Compared to traditional filtering equipment (such as plates, frames, belts, etc.), high-performance centrifuges have a compact and efficient structure, occupying only about one-third of the floor area. They are equipped with auxiliary air sources, high-pressure water, etc. without boxes, and have simpler inlet and outlet pipeline structures. Moreover, it operates in a fully enclosed manner, with a more user-friendly operating environment. The modular integrated device has the characteristics of compact structure, easy installation, low infrastructure requirements, and easy overall mobility, and is widely used for the harmless treatment of oily sludge in oilfield drilling.
★ Stable operation, low failure rate, and low maintenance costs in the later stage
Compared to filtration type equipment, centrifuges do not require any filter cloth or mesh, so there is no problem of clogging, and there will be no problem of replacing filter cloth. The later operation and maintenance costs of the equipment are low.
