This series is a new type of horizontal spiral settling centrifugal dewatering machine, which works by utilizing the solid-liquid density difference and relying on the centrifugal force field to expand it by thousands of times. The solid phase is settled under the action of centrifugal force, thereby achieving solid-liquid separation, and is discharged from the machine body under the action of special mechanisms. The entire feeding and separation process is a continuous, enclosed, and automated centrifugal dewatering equipment.
Centrifugal dehydration process:
The suspension added to the drum forms a ring-shaped liquid layer under the action of centrifugal force, and the solid particles in it settle onto the drum wall, forming sediment. The clarified liquid is discharged through the overflow port of the drum or the suction pipe, and is called the separation liquid. At the end of separation, manually or mechanically unload the sediment. During the process of settling towards the drum wall, solid particles also move axially with the liquid flow. When the feed amount is too large, they flow with the liquid to the overflow port, while fine particles that have not yet settled to the drum wall are discharged from the drum with the separation liquid, causing the separation liquid to become turbid. For difficult to separate suspensions with small density difference between solid and liquid phases, small solid particles, or high liquid viscosity, a sedimentation centrifuge with high separation factor should be selected to prolong the residence time of the suspension in the drum (such as reducing the feed amount or using a long drum), in order to ensure the clarity of the separated liquid. As shown in Figure 1

The main unit of the horizontal spiral settling centrifugal dewatering machine for alkaline sludge is composed of a rotary drum, a screw propeller, a large end support plate, a small end support plate, a differential, a main drive motor, an auxiliary drive motor, a hydraulic coupling, a bearing seat, a rotating body cover, a transmission cover, a transmission belt, a control box, and a base. The drum and propeller are the core components of the centrifuge, where the solid phase separation of alkali residue is carried out.
1. Rotary drum: It is divided into straight rotary drum, cone rotary drum, and end cap made of carbon steel or stainless steel, with water outlet and mud outlet set on it. The ratio between the length of the rotary drum and the inner diameter of the rotary drum is called the aspect ratio. The appropriate model should be selected based on the nature of the wastewater.
2. Spiral feeder: made of carbon steel or stainless steel, consisting of a core tube and blades. The blade working position is welded with hard alloy wear-resistant blocks to improve its service life. It maintains a certain differential speed with the rotating drum during operation to complete the slag discharge function.
3. Differential: divided into cycloidal and planetary structures, it is used to maintain a constant differential speed between the drum and the screw for slag discharge. Variable frequency control or replacement of pulleys and variable speed can be used to complete the task.
4. Machine base: The main component of the rotating drum is welded with rectangular steel and suspended on the foundation frame with a plate reducer, so the whole machine can be freely placed without the need for foot fixation, making it easier to install.
5. Cover: Made of carbon steel or stainless steel, it is the main component used for centralized drainage and sludge discharge. It is divided into a sludge outlet and a water outlet to facilitate the transportation of sludge and water.
