    Description :

Attic style shelving is a storage equipment that fully utilizes the upper space of a warehouse. By building two or more levels of attic, the vertical space is converted into effective storage area. It mainly solves the problem of sufficient warehouse height but limited flat area, especially suitable for storing light foam goods, small and medium-sized goods, or items with high manual access frequency. Typical operating conditions include e-commerce warehouses, auto parts warehouses, electronic factory accessory warehouses, etc., which can significantly improve warehouse capacity utilization and typically increase storage capacity by 2-3 times. The shelving system consists of columns, beams, floor slabs, stairs, guardrails and other components. The structure is stable and the load-bearing capacity can be customized according to needs. The general floor load-bearing range is between 300-1000kg/square meter, meeting the storage needs of different goods.

The main specifications of attic style shelves include column specifications, beam dimensions, floor type, and overall dimensions. Columns are usually made of H-shaped steel or cold-formed steel, with cross-sectional dimensions ranging from 80 * 60 * 2.0mm to 120 * 80 * 2.5mm; crossbeams are often made of P-shaped beams or interlocking beams, with specifications determined based on span and load. The floor slab can be made of cold-rolled steel plate, patterned steel plate or steel grating plate, with a thickness of generally 2.0-3.0mm, and the surface has undergone anti slip treatment. The implementation standards refer to JB/T 8711-2006 "General Technical Conditions for Storage Shelves" and FEM 10.2.02 European Shelving Federation standards. The surface treatment process is usually electrostatic spraying, and the color can be customized, commonly blue or orange. It has good anti-corrosion and anti rust properties and is suitable for indoor dry environments.

When selecting, it is important to consider the warehouse's net height, ground load-bearing capacity, cargo size, and storage and retrieval methods. Applicable scenarios include situations where the warehouse is high, the goods are light, and manual storage and retrieval are the main focus, such as clothing, light industry electronics, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. If the goods are too heavy or require forklift operation, heavy-duty crossbeam racks or through racks should be selected. Compared with steel structure platforms, attic style shelves are more flexible and can be used in conjunction with the bottom layer of the shelves to form a combination structure of shelves and attic. Not applicable scenarios include humid and corrosive environments, storage of ultra heavy mechanical parts, and situations that require frequent large-scale mechanical operations. Sufficient channel width and floor height should be reserved during design to ensure the safety and convenience of personnel operation.

Before installation, it is necessary to ensure that the ground flatness error is within the allowable range, usually requiring an error of no more than 2mm per meter. The installation sequence is generally from the columns to the beams, then the floor slabs and accessories are laid, and finally the stairs and guardrails are installed. During daily maintenance, it is necessary to regularly check whether the connectors are loose, whether the columns are deformed, and whether the floor slabs are damaged. Overloading is strictly prohibited, and goods should be evenly distributed to avoid concentrated loads. Common faults include floor depression, loose connecting bolts, etc. If any abnormalities are found, they should be tightened or replaced in a timely manner. When cleaning, a dry cloth can be used to wipe, avoiding direct rinsing with water to prevent rust. Reasonable use and maintenance can extend the service life of shelves to more than 10 years, ensuring safe and efficient warehousing operations.
