Description :
GN30-12/630 high-voltage isolation switch is an indoor high-voltage electrical equipment used in three-phase AC power systems with a rated voltage of 12kV and a frequency of 50Hz. This equipment is mainly installed in the high-voltage switchgear and is used for circuit opening and closing under voltage and no-load conditions, ensuring that maintenance personnel form a visible disconnection point with live parts, thereby ensuring the safety of power maintenance operations. Its core function is to isolate the power supply and does not have arc extinguishing capability, so it is strictly prohibited to operate with load. Typical operating conditions include substations, distribution rooms, and power supply systems in industrial and mining enterprises. When used in conjunction with circuit breakers, flexible switching and safe isolation of circuits are achieved, which are essential basic protection and control components in power systems.
The structure design of GN30-12/630 high-voltage isolation switch is compact, using a rotating contact system, with the characteristics of small size and easy installation. Its rated voltage is 12kV, rated current is 630A, rated short-time withstand current (thermal stability current) is usually 20kA or 25kA (please refer to the factory test report for details), and rated peak withstand current (dynamic stability current) is generally 50kA or 63.1kA. The equipment insulation material is made of high-quality epoxy resin or SMC composite material, which has good arc resistance and aging resistance performance. The implementation standards comply with relevant power industry standards such as GB 1985 "High Voltage AC Isolating Switches and Grounding Switches" and DL/T 486. The contact area of the contact is treated with special silver plating to reduce contact resistance, minimize operating temperature rise, and ensure long-term stability and reliability.
When selecting GN30-12/630 high-voltage isolating switches, it is necessary to clarify their suitability for indoor environments, where the ambient temperature is usually between -25 ℃ and+40 ℃, and the altitude does not exceed 1000 meters. If there is severe vibration, corrosive gas or serious pollution in the usage environment, corresponding protective measures should be taken or reinforced insulation products should be selected. This model has a similar structure to large capacity models such as GN30-12/1250, but its current carrying capacity is different. When selecting, it should be based on the actual load current to avoid overheating caused by small horses pulling large vehicles. At the same time, attention should be paid to its size matching with the matching switchgear. The GN30 series has relatively small installation space requirements for the cabinet due to its rotating structure, making it suitable for compact switchgear design. Not suitable for outdoor environments or scenarios that require frequent load operation.
The installation of GN30-12/630 high-voltage isolation switch should be fixed vertically or horizontally on the designated bracket of the switchgear to ensure that the operating mechanism is flexible and free of jamming. In daily maintenance, it is necessary to regularly check the contact condition of the contacts, clean the surface dust and oxides, check whether the fastening bolts are loose, especially the connection parts of the conductive circuit. It is recommended to conduct a preventive test once a year to measure the circuit resistance and insulation resistance, ensuring that all indicators meet the requirements of the regulations. Common faults include overheating of contacts, operational failure, etc., which are often caused by poor contact or rusting of mechanical components. If abnormalities are found, power should be cut off in a timely manner. Operators must strictly follow the operating sequence of "first disconnect the circuit breaker, then pull the isolation switch", and it is strictly prohibited to cause arc short circuit accidents due to misoperation, ensuring personal and equipment safety.
