GSH5 intrinsic safety speed sensor is an intelligent monitoring device designed specifically for harsh environments in coal mines, mainly used for real-time detection of the operating speed of rotating machinery such as belt conveyors. This speed sensor converts mechanical speed into a standard electrical signal output through non-contact or contact measurement methods, solving safety accidents caused by belt slippage, breakage, or overspeed. Typical working conditions include coal mine tunnels with high dust, high humidity, and the presence of explosive gas mixtures. They are key sensing components in coal mine automation monitoring systems, ensuring the safe and stable operation of transportation systems.
The GSH5 speed sensor adopts an inherently safe circuit design, complies with the GB3836 series electrical equipment standards for explosive environments, and has an Ex ib I Mb explosion-proof rating. The shell is usually made of high-strength stainless steel or engineering plastic material, with a protection level of IP65 or above, which can effectively resist the erosion of underground water and coal dust. When installing the GSH5 speed sensor, it should be ensured that the gap between the probe and the measured target meets the requirements of the instruction manual. Generally, magnetic induction sensors need to maintain a distance of 5-15mm and be firmly fixed to prevent vibration deviation. In daily maintenance, it is necessary to regularly clean the coal slurry and iron filings on the surface of the probe to avoid signal interference or loss. It is recommended to check the sealing of the junction box and the integrity of the cables once a month to prevent water ingress and short circuits. Common faults include no signal output or numerical jump, often caused by loose wiring, damaged probes, or strong electromagnetic interference.
