Description :
The steel structure of the construction site gate is the core load-bearing and protective facility for the entrance and exit of building construction, mainly solving the problems of pedestrian and vehicle separation, image display, and safety protection on the construction site. This structure usually consists of columns, beams, door frame, and foundation embedded parts, and is suitable for temporary or semi permanent entrances in various construction projects such as housing, municipal, road and bridge construction. Typical working conditions require withstanding the mechanical stress generated by frequent opening and closing, as well as the maximum local wind pressure load, to ensure that deformation or collapse does not occur in adverse weather conditions, providing sufficient clearance height and width for incoming and outgoing vehicles, and ensuring smooth construction logistics.
In terms of specifications, Q235B or Q345B national standard hot-rolled H-beams, I-beams, or square tubes are commonly used as the main materials, with wall thicknesses typically ranging from 8mm to 20mm, determined based on span and load calculations. The connection process adopts full penetration welding or high-strength bolt connection, and the weld grade must comply with the requirements of GB 50661 "Code for Welding of Steel Structures". After surface treatment, anti rust primer and topcoat coating are carried out, commonly using epoxy zinc rich primer and polyurethane topcoat, with a total dry film thickness of not less than 120 μ m. The structural design shall comply with GB 50017 "Design Standard for Steel Structures", and the foundation embedded parts shall be poured with concrete grade C25 or above to ensure that the overall anti overturning coefficient meets the standard.
When selecting, it is important to consider the net size of the door opening. Generally, the width of a single span is between 6 meters and 12 meters, and the height is between 4 meters and 6 meters. If large concrete mixer trucks or pump trucks need to pass through, the height allowance should be appropriately increased. For coastal typhoon prone areas, the column spacing shall be increased and slant support shall be added for reinforcement to improve the wind resistance level to above 12. Unlike simple iron sheet fences, the steel structure of the construction site gate emphasizes the rigidity and durability of the skeleton, and is not suitable for use as a purely decorative component. If the geological conditions on site are soft, it is necessary to expand the area of the foundation slab or use pile foundation support to avoid uneven settlement that may cause the door to jam or tilt.
Before installation, it is necessary to review the position deviation of the foundation embedded parts and control it within ± 5mm. During lifting, use a theodolite to correct the verticality. It is recommended to check the welds for signs of cracking every quarter for daily maintenance, especially in areas prone to water accumulation and corrosion at the bottom. If peeling of the paint surface is found, it should be polished and repainted in a timely manner to prevent the steel from rusting and weakening the section strength. Regularly check the tightening of anchor bolts to prevent loosening caused by vehicle vibration. The typical service life is 3-5 years, and after the project is completed, some steel materials can be disassembled and recycled. However, welding nodes are usually fixed in one go, resulting in a high disassembly loss rate, which needs to be considered in the budget.
