  The nylon expansion plate of the uncoiler is a key vulnerable part in the metal sheet processing production line, mainly installed outside the expansion and contraction drum of the uncoiler. Its core function is to provide cushioning and support between the inner diameter of the steel coil and the drum. Through the high friction coefficient and elastic deformation ability of nylon material, it effectively prevents the steel coil from slipping or loosening during high-speed unwinding, while avoiding direct contact of the metal drum with the inner wall of the steel coil causing scratches, ensuring the feeding stability of subsequent leveling and shearing processes.

  The nylon expansion plate is usually made of high-strength MC nylon or PA66 material by injection molding or mechanical processing, and has excellent mechanical strength and dimensional stability. Common specifications are customized according to the model of the uncoiler, with a thickness generally ranging from 20mm to 50mm and a width covering from 100mm to 1500mm. The surface has undergone precision polishing treatment, resulting in low roughness and reduced running resistance. The material complies with RoHS environmental standards, is resistant to oil and corrosion, and can maintain stable physical properties in industrial environments ranging from -40 ℃ to 120 ℃. It is not easily aged or deformed during long-term use.

  When selecting, it is necessary to focus on matching the radius of curvature of the unwinding machine drum and the inner diameter range of the steel coil (usually standard inner diameters such as 508mm, 610mm, etc.). Compared to traditional rubber pads, nylon expansion plates have stronger load-bearing capacity and are suitable for heavy-duty steel coils; Compared to metal lining plates, it provides better surface protection for coil materials. If the processing object is materials with high surface quality requirements such as stainless steel and aluminum plate, it is recommended to use pure nylon material with moderate hardness and no impurities embedded to avoid hard spot indentation.

  During installation, it should be ensured that the expansion plate is tightly attached to the drum, and anti loosening washers should be installed on the fixing bolts to prevent high-frequency vibration from causing detachment. In daily maintenance, the wear of the board surface should be regularly checked. When the wear exceeds 15% of the original thickness or obvious cracks or missing corners appear, they should be replaced in groups in a timely manner to ensure the concentricity of the winding. When cleaning, use cotton yarn to wipe the surface oil stains. It is strictly prohibited to use strong acid and alkali solvents for cleaning to avoid damaging the molecular structure of nylon and affecting its service life.
