Description :
Ventilation butterfly valve is a cutting and regulating device used in non corrosive or slightly corrosive gas pipeline systems, mainly to solve the problem of airflow control in large-diameter low-pressure air ducts. This valve has a compact structure and is lightweight, suitable for gas pipelines in industries such as metallurgy, petrochemicals, power, and building materials. Typical operating conditions include the transportation of media such as air, flue gas, and coal gas at normal temperature and pressure. The flow rate is precisely adjusted or completely cut off by rotating the valve plate angle to ensure stable and safe system operation.
This ventilation butterfly valve is usually made of carbon steel or stainless steel material, and the valve body is mostly welded or cast structure. The sealing surface is commonly made of rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene or metal hard sealing form. The actuator can be equipped with manual turbine, electric actuator or pneumatic actuator to meet different levels of automation requirements. The design follows the JB/T standard, with flange connection as the main connection method. The common nominal pressure is PN0.25MPa to PN0.6MPa, and the applicable temperature range is usually between -20 ℃ and+425 ℃, depending on the choice of sealing material to ensure good sealing performance and durability under harsh working conditions.
When selecting, it is necessary to clarify the type of medium, temperature, pressure, and pipeline diameter. Ventilation butterfly valves are suitable for low-pressure, high flow gas media and are not suitable for high-pressure steam or highly corrosive liquid pipelines. If high-precision flow control is required, it is recommended to use it in conjunction with a locator; If the working condition contains dust particles, a wear-resistant sealing structure or a blowing device should be selected. Compared with gate valves, ventilation butterfly valves have faster opening and closing speeds and occupy less space, but their sealing performance is slightly inferior to high-performance ball valves. The purchaser should weigh the requirements for leakage rate based on actual working conditions to avoid blindly pursuing high sealing levels and increasing costs.
During installation, attention should be paid to aligning the direction of the valve plate with the flow direction of the medium, and sufficient operating space should be reserved for maintenance. During long-term use, regularly check the lubrication condition of the actuator and the degree of wear on the sealing surface. If leaks are found, adjust the gland bolts or replace the seals in a timely manner. Common faults include valve card jamming, actuator failure or seal leakage, which are often caused by impurity accumulation or component aging. In daily maintenance, the pipeline should be kept clean, and the dust inside the valve body should be regularly cleaned to extend the service life of the ventilation butterfly valve and ensure the efficient operation of the pipeline system.
