      Oilfield mud (oily sludge) is a waste generated during the exploration, extraction, and transportation processes of the petroleum industry. With the increasing emphasis on environmental protection by the country, oilfield oily sludge has been classified as hazardous solid waste (HW08). It is estimated that China produces nearly 3 million tons of oilfield oily sludge annually. If not treated and directly discharged, it will not only occupy a large amount of arable land, but also cause pollution to the surrounding soil, water bodies, and air. The original treatment method was to store or discharge the remaining residue after extracting oil from oily sludge, which caused new pollution to the environment and is no longer applicable to the new national requirements. Therefore, Ruichen Company independently developed new technologies and formed a complete treatment system for oily sludge through secondary research and development. A complete solution has been formed from formulation production, equipment manufacturing, engineering construction, and operation. Oily sludge includes ground oil sludge, refined oil sludge, tank bottom oil sludge, and ground oil spills. The components are complex, containing harmful high molecular weight organic compounds and heavy metal compounds that are difficult to degrade. Mineral oil, due to its high concentration and toxicity, requires targeted sludge treatment methods.

      Taking Liaohe Oilfield as an example:

      Oilfield Mud: In response to the current situation of oil mud in Liaohe Oilfield, the oil mud contains a large amount of garbage (such as tree branches, plastic bags, plastic bottles, etc.), which can only be processed by crushing, grinding and sorting devices to ensure the smooth progress of subsequent work. After preliminary sorting, the oil sludge is transferred to a storage tank for heating, and then transferred to a homogenization tank. In the homogenization tank, our company's special agent is added to the oil sludge for uniform stirring. After the agent and oil sludge are fully dissolved, they enter a special large aspect ratio high-speed variable frequency centrifuge for solid-liquid separation of the oil sludge. After separation and treatment, the solid phase material is subjected to biological processing to ensure that the final solid phase meets soil standards and is naturally stacked. The separated liquid phase can meet the high discharge requirements of Panjin Wetland after further deep treatment. At present, the treatment process is relatively advanced, with high treatment efficiency and effluent quality meeting the high requirements for domestic discharge. Throughout the entire process, water is recycled and a small amount of excess water needs to be discharged, which saves water to a certain extent.
