      working principle

      The three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge is mainly composed of a driving part, a rotating drum, and a screw conveyor. It has a compact structure and small volume. Its operation is based on the principle of sedimentation, which means that solid particles with a specific liquid weight precipitate out within a predetermined time. This principle can also be applied to two liquids that have a specific gravity difference and are immiscible. When the material enters the high-speed rotating drum, it rotates synchronously with the drum inside. Due to different densities, the centrifugal force it receives is different. Solid particles with high densities receive centrifugal force, followed by heavy phase liquids (such as water), and light phase liquids (such as oil) are smaller. In this way, a concentric solid layer and two liquid layers are formed from the outside to the inside according to the magnitude of the centrifugal force received. The solid is pushed out by the screw conveyor, and the liquid is discharged from its respective liquid inlet. So the application of a three-phase spiral centrifuge can not only separate the solids in the material, but also separate the two-phase liquids with different densities in the material, that is, it can perform solid-liquid separation.

      2. Clarification stage: Under the action of centrifugal force, the flocculated particles quickly separate and settle in the straight section of the drum. The separated supernatant is discharged through a weir located at the end of the drum.

      3. Compression stage: The screw propeller pushes the settled solid to the discharge end, and the sludge is further compressed under the action of centrifugal force, releasing pore water.

      4. Bi directional squeezing stage: In the conical section of the drum, the sludge is subjected to a specially designed biaxial squeezing effect, and the screw conveyor is appropriately designed to generate squeezing force along the axial direction. Combined with the compression effect of the centrifuge, further squeeze out the capillary water of the sludge.

      5. Control solid retention time: When the amount and quality of sludge entering the centrifuge change, continuously control the total amount of solids in the high dryness centrifuge drum to maintain the dewatering effect. This control is achieved through the drive system of the propeller. The propeller drive system can detect the total amount of solids in the drum in real time and automatically adjust the differential speed and compensate for the pushing power.
